Sinema Supports Bipartisan VA Accountability First Act of 2017

Phoenix, AZ – Rep. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) has signed on to co-sponsor the VA Accountability First Act of 2017, a bill which would make it easier to fire bad VA employees by shortening the termination process. Rep. Sinema is the first Democrat to co-sponsor the measure.

CVA Florida Applauds House Vote to Kill Wasteful Spending Programs

Tallahassee, FL – Today the Florida House of Representatives voted to pass H.B. 7005 in an overwhelming vote of 87-28. If passed by the state Senate, the legislation will eliminate a number of major corporate welfare programs, including Enterprise Florida’s public-private partnership that hands out taxpayer funds to a few, large benefiting companies at the expense of many hardworking Floridians.

Bill Easing Burdens on Military Community Passes NC Senate Finance Committee

Raleigh, NC – Today the North Carolina State Senate Finance Committee passed, by voice vote, the “Ease Occupational Licensing Burdens on Military Families,” or SB8, a bill, which would ease occupational licensing burdens on military families in the state. If fully enacted, the measure would allow military members and their spouses to practice their professions under licensure from another state while transitioning to the requirements of the licensing boards of North Carolina.
