CVA Warns Against Escalation and Deployment of U.S. Ground Forces in Iran

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

June 11, 2026

Arlington, Va. – Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) strongly cautions against possible deployment of U.S. troops to seize control over Kharg Island or any Iranian territory. The United States should work to end the war with Iran, not double down on a conflict that large majorities of the American people oppose.

Putting boots on the ground draws the United States deeper into the Middle East yet again, and we know from experience that it is far easier to enter these conflicts than to bring them to a close.

As we said at the outset of this conflict, any military action requires a clear objective and exit strategy. The President and Congress must urgently pursue diplomatic de-escalation to protect American lives and focus on the priorities of the American people at home.
