Arlington, VA – Ahead of the Senate floor vote on the Supreme Court nomination this Friday, Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) is dropping a fourth and final pro-Gorsuch direct mail targeted at Senator Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND).
Last week, Senator Heitkamp announced that she will vote to confirm Judge Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court, citing her responsibility as an elected official and noting that Gorsuch is qualified, objective, and has received praise from both sides of the aisle. The mailer is intended to keep the pressure on Heitkamp and remind her how strongly her constituents feel about seeing Neil Gorsuch confirmed.

CVA Executive Director Mark Lucas issued the following statement:
“CVA applauds Senator Heitkamp for ignoring Chuck Schumer’s political theater, but we will continue reminding her just how strongly her constituents feel about confirming Neil Gorsuch until the moment he gets onto the Supreme Court bench. Gorsuch’s unparalleled experience and principled approach to interpreting the rule of law proves he will respect the Constitution that so many Americans veterans fought and sacrificed to defend. We urge Senator Heitkamp and all members of the Senate to do the right thing on Friday.”
A new Huffington Post/YouGov poll shows Americans want Gorsuch confirmed by a 17-point margin.
CVA has made thousands of calls to constituents in North Dakota, asking them to contact Senator Heitkamp in support of Gorsuch. The group has also launched web ads, three other waves of direct mail, and is promoting a digital tool which allows constituents to contact Senator Heitkamp directly via Facebook, Twitter, and email.
