Your VA Rights

As a Purple Heart recipient and Afghanistan war vet, I know how frustrating the VA can be.

One of my biggest frustrations with the current system is, despite how much progress we have made in getting veterans more access to better health care, bureaucrats and politicians continue to be a barrier against veterans getting the care they have earned.

After taking hundreds of calls and spending hours on the radio talking about it, I’ve heard many stories of the VA outright lying to veterans in Montana, manipulating wait times, and not telling them about their rights and options.

We believe veterans deserve better.

We want this disservice to end. We want an accountable VA that respects your rights because you—our Montana veterans—know your rights.

Below you can contact Senator Tester and tell him that veterans deserve better. And you can register to attend an upcoming informational event in your area with our VA expert and former Senior Advisor to the Secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs, Darin Selnick. He will tell you all about the rights veterans have under the VA MISSION Act…because the VA isn’t going to tell you about them.

Have you ever wondered why the VA seems broken, that you must wait forever to get an appointment, or that it seems like it’s hard to navigate? Join Concerned Veterans for America Montana along with our VA health care expert and former Senior Advisor to the VA Secretary, Darin Selnick as we discuss the VA MISSION Act, and what are rights veterans have to get care in the community.

When we know and understand our rights, we can more accurately advocate for ourselves and each other as we work to improve care in the VA Health Care system.

We hope you can join us at one of our upcoming events. Register below for the one near you!

The VA MISSION Act transformed health care options for the millions of veterans, providing long-overdue flexibility for veterans to get care when and where they need.

However, reports indicate the administration is again looking to limit access to community care, trapping veterans in a broken, top-down bureaucratic system that led to extreme wait times, secret wait lists, and veterans dying while waiting to get the care they need.

The GHAPS Act will provide much needed updates and reforms to VA health care delivery to improve outcomes for our veterans.

Tell your elected officials to support and pass the GHAPS Act today!
