Denver, CO – Ahead of the Senate floor vote on the Supreme Court nomination this Friday, Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) is dropping a fourth and final pro-Gorsuch direct mail targeted at Senator Michael Bennet (D-CO).
Senator Bennet has announced he will not support a filibuster. But despite growing pressure from his constituents, Bennet has failed to publicly express that he will vote in support of Gorsuch, a Colorado native. Bennet is up for re-election in 2022.

CVA Executive Director Mark Lucas issued the following statement:
“We applaud Senator Bennet for not obstructing this important process with political grandstanding, but he needs to step up and do right by Coloradans on Friday. Gorsuch is a qualified, experienced, and fair jurist – confirming him should be an easy vote for Bennet. CVA activists will continue urging Bennet to do the right thing until the moment Gorsuch gets to the bench.”
Earlier this month, Senator Bennet appeared before the Senate Judiciary Committee and praised Gorsuch’s record. Bennet said that Gorsuch had a “distinguished record of public service, private practice, and outstanding integrity and intellect,” adding that Gorsuch had won the respect of the Colorado state bar.
CVA has made over 111,000 calls to constituents in Colorado, asking them to contact Senator Bennet in support of Gorsuch. The group has also launched web ads, three other waves of direct mail, and is promoting a digital tool which allows constituents to contact Senator Bennet directly via Facebook, Twitter, and email.
