Concerned Veterans for America endorses combat veteran for work on veterans issues, health care, economic reforms

MILWAUKEE, Wis.—Concerned Veterans for America Wisconsin (CVA-WI) on Monday announced its support for Jim Ott, the Army veteran and State Representative currently running for re-election in Wisconsin’s 23rd Assembly district. CVA-WI praised Rep. Ott for his strong record advocating for policies to improve the lives of veterans, military families, and all Wisconsinites, particularly with regards to economic reforms and health care access and affordability. The organization will leverage its full arsenal, including mobilizing its grassroots army, to support Rep. Ott’s re-election. This endorsement serves as a historic milestone for the veterans group, signifying its first-ever engagement in Wisconsin electoral efforts at the state level.

CVA-WI Coalitions Director Sam Rogers had this to say regarding the endorsement:

“Representing a district in Southeast Wisconsin with thousands of veterans means demonstrating a dedication to principles and standing up in the face of adversity. A Vietnam combat veteran himself, Jim has seen our society divided before, and has stood tall through his lifetime of service to lead and unify his community with civility and tact. Concerned Veterans for America Wisconsin is proud to stand behind Rep. Jim Ott and we look forward to working hard to ensure he’s re-elected this November.”
