Statement from Concerned Veterans for America on Policymakers’ Discussion of VA Reform During GOP Debate

Arlington, Va.Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) CEO Pete Hegseth made the following statement in response to policymakers’ discussion of VA reform during the GOP debate tonight:

“Concerned Veterans for America applauds Sen. Marco Rubio’s statement tonight on the need for VA reform, in response to a question from Fox News.

“Our leaders should both advocate for, and take action in support of, policies that ensure our veterans are provided with timely and quality care.  That means holding VA officials accountable and, as Sen. Rubio said, ‘putting veterans first instead of VA bureaucrats.’

“Just a week after the House of Representatives passed the VA Accountability Act with broad bipartisan support, it is now up to the Senate to follow their lead and pass the VA Accountability Act.‎ We hope all policymakers on the stage in Cleveland tonight will join the growing bipartisan chorus of those who have already voiced their support for this necessary, common-sense reform.”
