Senate To Vote on Five Budget Proposals – Will One Pass?

By Concerned Veterans for America

Arlington, VA – Today the Senate takes up the long overdue budget battle and at the end of the day will vote on five budget proposals. It has been three years since the Senate last passed a budget and unfortunately, all are expected to fail. Kate Pomeroy, Communications Director at Concerned Veterans for America said the following:

“Washington’s failure to pass a budget is doing real harm not only to our nation’s finances, but to our national security priorities.  Americans from all political stripes are growing tired of Washington’s inability to pass a budget and spend our tax dollars responsibly. “Washington leaders need to take a hard, honest look at how they are leading this country. They need to lock themselves in a room and not come out until they can work together and pass a budget with bipartisan support.”
