MEDIA EVENT: ADMIRAL MIKE MULLEN America’s Biggest Threat: The Consequences of Debt

DATE:                       Tuesday, January 21, 2014 TIME:                        8:30 – 10:00 a.m. ET (registration begins at 8:00 a.m.) LOCATION:            Charlie Palmer Steak | Washington D.C. 20001

Arlington, VA – Three years ago, former Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen made a statement that raised eyebrows in Washington.  He boldly called America’s national debt “the biggest threat we have to our national security.” At that time, America’s debt stood at $13.2 trillion. Since that statement, the debt has grown an additional $5 trillion and today sits at $17.2 trillion; making Admiral Mullen’s statement even more true today. On Tuesday, January 21, 2014 Admiral Mullen will address the security threat of America’s national debt as he keynotes Concerned Veterans for America’s fifth and final event in the Defend & Reform Breakfast series.  This series outlined the ways veterans—and all Americans—can contribute to ‘defending freedom’ by advancing reform.
