CVA’s Historic Advocacy for Toomey Yields Results

By Concerned Veterans for America

Philadelphia, PA – Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) led a historic grassroots effort in Pennsylvania on behalf of Senator Toomey this election cycle. Toomey was re-elected into office last night.

CVA made a significant six-figure investment to turn out veterans, military families, and patriotic Americans to vote for Pat Toomey on November 8. This was an unprecedented level of express advocacy for the organization in the state.

CVA’s efforts included:

  • Roughly 600,000 phone calls
  • Thousands of door knocks
  • Targeted digital ads statewide
  • 6 committed staffers, including a state director
  • Over 100 dedicated volunteers

CVA supported Senator Pat Toomey due to his strong support for veterans and their families. He was an early co-sponsor of measures such as the VA Accountability Act of 2015 to strengthen the firing power of the VA, protect whistleblowers, and provide access to health care choices. Sen. Toomey has shown his willingness to work across the aisle in order to serve the veteran community both in Pennsylvania and nationwide.
