CVA Urges House to Pass White House’s Rescissions Package

ARLINGTON, Va. ― Concerned Veterans for America (CVA), the nation’s largest veteran-led grassroots advocacy organization, put out the following statement urging Congress to pass the White House’s rescissions package, which promises to save $9.4 billion from the federal budget:

The White House’s new rescissions package would cut over $9 billion in waste by eliminating unnecessary spending in the 2025 budget, and make the government more efficient and transparent, which all Americans expect and deserve.

After decades of overspending and inefficiency, it’s time for Washington to finally address the wasteful spending and neglected oversight which add to the threat of our national debt and leave too many Americans in the dark about where their hard-earned taxpayer dollars are going.

CVA urges the House to swiftly pass this rescissions package. As veterans, we’ve done our part to keep Americans safe and secure. Now we’re calling on our elected leaders to do their part to secure America’s financial future.”
