CVA Urges Casey to Do Right by Pennsylvanians During Gorsuch Hearing

By Concerned Veterans for America

Philadelphia, PA – Today begins Supreme Court nominee Judge Neil Gorsuch’s hearing before the U.S. Senate.

Senator Casey (D-PA) has not expressed support for Gorsuch despite intense grassroots pressure from Pennsylvania constituents.

Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) Pennsylvania Field Director Eve Allen issued the following statement:

“Members of the Senate must avoid turning this important process into a miscalculated political spectacle and instead focus on Gorsuch’s qualifications to serve on the bench. Gorsuch’s unparalleled experience and principled approach to interpreting the rule of law proves he will respect the Constitution that so many Americans veterans fought and sacrificed to defend. We urge Senator Casey to do right by Pennsylvanians and help drive a thorough, clean, and expedited confirmation hearing.”

CVA has made thousands of calls to Pennsylvania constituents asking them to contact Senator Casey and urge him to confirm Gorsuch without delay. The group is also promoting a digital tool which allows Pennsylvanians to directly contact Senator Casey’s office via email and social media.

The American Bar Association has given Judge Neil Gorsuch its highest rating, unanimously declaring him “well-qualified.”
