CVA Urges Brown to Do Right by Ohioans During Gorsuch Hearing

By Concerned Veterans for America

Arlington, VA – Today begins Supreme Court nominee Judge Neil Gorsuch’s hearing before the U.S. Senate.

Senator Brown (D-OH) has not expressed support for Gorsuch and is threatening to hold up the confirmation process.

Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) Executive Director Mark Lucas issued the following statement:

“Members of the Senate must focus on Judge Gorsuch’s qualifications to serve on the bench and avoid political theatre. Gorsuch’s unparalleled experience and principled approach to interpreting the rule of law proves he will respect the Constitution that so many Americans veterans fought and sacrificed to defend. We urge Senator Brown to do right by Ohioans and help drive a thorough, clean, and expedited confirmation.”

CVA has made nearly 40,000 calls to Ohio constituents asking them to contact Senator Brown and urge him to confirm Gorsuch without delay. The group is also promoting a digital tool which allows Ohioans to directly contact Senator Brown’s office via email and social media.

The American Bar Association has given Judge Neil Gorsuch its highest rating, unanimously declaring him “well-qualified.”
