CVA Statement on President Trump’s First 100 Days Prioritizing Veterans
Arlington, VA – Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) Executive Director Mark Lucas issued the following statement:
“We’ve been impressed with how President Trump has prioritized helping veterans in his first 100 days. Secretary Shulkin is proving to be an outstanding champion of choice and accountability reform, and he has been outspoken about the need to fire bad VA employees and give veterans access to private sector care. If these first few months are any indication, veterans can look forward to better care and a government that puts their needs before unions and special interests. We thank President Trump for driving VA reform from the White House, but we urge Congress to follow in his lead. There is a lot of work left to do.”
