CVA statement on Sen. Isakson resignation

Grassroots veterans group applauds a career of service

 

ARLINGTON, Va.—Upon news of Sen. Johnny Isakson’s announcement that he will resign at the end of the year, Concerned Veterans for America Executive Director, Nate Anderson, released the following statement:

On behalf of Concerned Veterans for America, we thank Senator Isakson for his honorable military service and for his leadership in the Senate on behalf of our nation’s veterans. We wish him and his family all the best in the future. We are hopeful the incoming chairman of the Committee on Veterans Affairs will continue in the footsteps of Sen. Isakson and be a champion for increasing accountability at the VA and improving health care options for those who served.
