CVA SUPPORTS RESOLUTION TO AUDIT U.S. AID TO UKRAINE

By Concerned Veterans for America

American veterans group calls for robust audit of taxpayer funds sent to Ukraine since start of conflict

ARLINGTON, Va.Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) on Tuesday urged passage of H.Res. 1482a resolution to audit congressionally appropriated funds to Ukraine.

CVA Deputy Director John Byrnes had this to say about the resolution to audit aid funding sent to Ukraine

American taxpayers deserve to know where their tax dollars are spent, especially when they’re going to fund a war abroad in which the United States has no vital interests at stake. To date, our leaders in Washington have been cutting check after check for Ukraine, with limited accounting as to where that funding is going. Washington cannot continue writing blank checks to Ukraine, a major historical arms trafficking hub, without greater due diligence to reduce these risks. It is in the best interest of their constituents for members of Congress to support a thorough audit before any additional Ukrainian aid is considered.
