CVA Launches Veterans Health Care Survey for Policy Taskforce
Survey Results to be Used for Policy Proposal to Improve Veterans Health Care

Arlington, Va. Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) announced today the launch of a survey of veterans on behalf of the Fixing Veterans Health Care Policy Taskforce, to better establish how those who served use the VA and to determine their preferences for health care delivery.

The survey asks veterans questions regarding their experiences at VA health care facilities and their recommendations for improvements that could be made both at the VA, and in the delivery of health care via other avenues. The survey follows the closure of the taskforce’s submission portal, which sought ideas from the public on how veterans’ access to health care can be improved, be it within or outside of the VA.

“The Fixing Veterans Health Care Policy Taskforce is seeking outside input from those who use the system regularly, and the next step in that process is taking a survey of veterans on their health care experiences and preferences,” said Pete Hegseth, CEO of CVA. “The submissions received through the portal were invaluable, and we look forward to now gathering more data on veterans’ preferences for health care. This information will be of enormous worth when brought into consideration as the taskforce crafts its final policy proposal.”

The taskforce has been meeting continuously since September and plans to issue a final report in February 2015, focusing on systemic reforms to the Department of Veterans Affairs that will dramatically improve the delivery of health care to veterans. The bipartisan effort will culminate in a policy summit in early 2015 with the aim of passing meaningful reforms in the 114th Congress.
