CVA Launches “Get Out The Veteran” Effort to Make Veterans’ Voices Heard on Election Day
Arlington, Va. – Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) today announced the launch of Get Out The Veteran (GOTVets), a multi-million dollar, nationwide get-out-the-vote initiative that includes direct mail, digital advertising, and grassroots activism in veteran and active-duty, military-heavy states. The mail, multimedia and on-the-ground effort will include a dedicated website and digital promotion, as well as local events, door-to-door canvassing efforts and phone banking by CVA veterans and activists in targeted states, including but not limited to, North Carolina, Louisiana, New Hampshire, Virginia, Florida, and Texas.
GOTVets is a focused and timely issue-education, legislative advocacy, and activism effort by CVA to identify veterans and military families, contact them personally, and turn them out to vote in the November elections. Veterans and military families are a powerful force in American, and CVA activists and staff will work to make sure their voices are heard by empowering them to sound off like never before on the issues they care about.
The GOTVets effort follows a year of sad revelations and shameful scandals at the Department of Veterans Affairs, with secret waitlists, bureaucratic greed and veterans dying as they wait for care from a dysfunctional bureaucracy. Taken alongside an American foreign and national security policy that is in in shambles – and a national debt that continues to explode – it is a critical time for veterans to be heard.
“America’s founding ideals of individual liberty, personal responsibility, economic freedom and accountable leadership are wasting away before our eyes, and Concerned Veterans for America’s GOTVets effort aims to reach and rally veterans to come to her defense again,” said Pete Hegseth, CEO of Concerned Veterans for America. “Through direct mail, targeted digital ads and tactical grassroots action, CVA is leading the charge on the ground. We will mobilize veterans to once again answer the call, lock arms, and stand together to be heard. Armed with our ballots, we will fight side-by-side to preserve the country and Constitution we swore a sacred oath to defend.”
