CVA Launches Digital Video and Mail Campaign Urging Senators to Support the VA Accountability Act
Six-Figure Campaign Encourages Sens. Heitkamp, Casey, Donnelly and Bennet to Support Critical VA Reform Legislation

Arlington, Va.Concerned Veterans for America(CVA) today launched a six-figure digital video and mail campaign urging Sens. Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND),Bob Casey (D-PA), Joe Donnelly (D-IN) and Michael Bennet (D-CO) to support passage of the VA Accountability Act in the Senate – a bill that would make it easier to fire bad VA employees, increase protections for whistleblowers, and help repair the toxic culture at the VA.

This follows recent campaigns by CVA urging members of the House of Representatives to pass the VA Accountability Act – which they did with a bipartisan vote – while also praising members in the Senate who have co-sponsored the bill.

CVA CEO Pete Hegseth issued the following statement on the launch of the campaign:

“On the campaign trail, everyone is for our veterans. However, when it comes to choosing between protecting veterans or entrenched bureaucrats and special interests, it is time for our elected leaders to show whose side they are really on.

“The VA Accountability Act needs a vote in the Senate, and Sens. Heitkamp, Casey, Donnelly and Bennet have a moral obligation to stand up for our veterans by supporting this legislation. This legislation will help ensure veterans are treated like customers, not numbers, and that they are protected from employees who would place them at risk through negligent action or sub-standard care.”
