Concerned Veterans for America Hosting Defend and Reform Town Hall in Tampa with Ron DeSantis May 20

By Concerned Veterans for America

Arlington, Va. — Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) is coming to Tampa for a “Veterans and Military Town Hall” with Congressman Ron DeSantis Friday, May 20, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The Cuban Club of Tampa (2010 N Avenida Republica de Cuba). The event is part of CVA’s “Defend and Reform” Policy Series.

Representative DeSantis, Dan Caldwell, CVA’s vice president of political and legislative action, and Diego Echeverri, CVA’s Florida state director, will join local veterans to talk about the critical issues facing Florida veterans, military families, and—by extension—all Americans.

Veterans make up a large constituency in the Sunshine State — an estimated 1.6 million, a large number of whom live in Central Florida, and they deserve to have their voices heard. CVA invites veterans to share their thoughts and concerns about the important issues facing the country, including the crisis at the Department of Veterans Affairs, a Department of Defense paralyzed by fraud and waste, and an out-of-control national debt that threatens the security of the nation for which they fought.

Caldwell issued the following statement regarding the event:

“This town hall will give veterans and their families the chance to make their voices heard on the important issues of our day, issues which are of special importance to those who have worn the uniform and served our country. They deserve to know what national policymakers will do to keep our country safe, ensure those who have served are treated with the highest standard of dignity, and care and restore fiscal responsibility in our nation’s capital.”

This event is free and open to the public and press. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

All attendees are asked to register for the event here. Media can RSVP to CVA Communications Specialist Sarah Shriver at sshriver@cv4a.org.
