Concerned Veterans for America partners with NRA for 2015 Defend Freedom Tour

By Concerned Veterans for America

Arlington, Va. – Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) is proud to announce a partnership with the National Rifle Association (NRA) to promote CVA’s nationwide Defend Freedom Tour.

The 23-city Defend Freedom Tour kicks off April 17 in New York City on Fox & Friends. Each of these free, family-friendly events features an all-star panel of speakers and musical performers with inspirational stories and a message of freedom.

Pete Hegseth, CEO of CVA, issued the following statement in reaction:

“I want to personally thank the NRA for this partnership—we are thrilled to work with the nation’s premier Second Amendment advocacy group. CVA and the NRA are natural allies, and this strategic partnership will expand the tour’s reach to like-minded, freedom-loving constituencies. Both of our organizations love the military and veterans, value our precious freedoms, and believe that we live in an exceptional nation worth fighting for—and that’s exactly what CVA’s Defend Freedom Tour is about.

“The Defend Freedom Tour is more than just a tour…it’s a movement. And adding the NRA only expands the movement. It’s a movement that unites veterans, military families, and freedom-loving Americans who reject the status quo in Washington and believe America can—and should be—free, prosperous, and great. We’re fed up with an overbearing government, unaccountable bureaucrats, and a failing national security strategy. Together, we’re living up to the Defend Freedom tour motto: Honor Service. Defend Freedom. Take Action!

Lieutenant Colonel Oliver North, NRA board member and Fox News host and commentator, issued the following statement:

“The National Rifle Association is proud to partner with CVA on this important grassroots endeavor.  Since it-s inception, the NRA has had and continues to have an indelible bond with our men and women in uniform. Indeed, our memberships rolls are rich with active members and veterans of our armed forces, law enforcement and other first responders who love their country and are determined to preserve our freedom and liberty.”

NRA is the nation’s foremost defender of Second Amendment rights and the premier firearms education organization in the world. For more information go to www.NRA.org.
