Concerned Veterans for America Names Shaun Rieley as Outreach and Research Analyst

Arlington, Va.Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) today announced Shaun Rieley as an Outreach and Research Analyst. Rieley’s work at CVA will focus on congressional outreach to promote CVA’s legislative agenda.

Rieley comes to CVA from The American Legion National Headquarters, where he was the Assistant Director of the National Legislative Division.

As an infantryman in the Maryland Army National Guard’s 175th Infantry Regiment and 158th Cavalry Regiment for nine years, Rieley attained the rank of Sergeant.  His service included tours in Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom and at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

“Concerned Veterans for America is very excited to have Shaun on board,” said Pete Hegseth, CEO of CVA. “With his experience in the Army, educational background, and previous work in legislative affairs, Shaun is a perfect fit here at CVA, and we’re fortunate to have him join our team.”

Rieley holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Delaware and a Master of Arts from St. John’s College in Annapolis, Md., where he studied philosophy, political theory, classics, and literature.  He also holds a Masters of Arts in social studies education from Wilmington University.  He is currently working toward a Ph.D. in political theory and American government from the Catholic University of America.
