Concerned Veterans for America and Madison Rising Announce Defend Freedom Summer Tour 2014

SummerTour2014.com Launches, 10-City Tour Kicks off May 23

Arlington, Va. – Concerned Veterans for America (CVA), a veterans advocacy organization, and Madison Rising, America’s most patriotic rock band, today announce their nationwide Defend Freedom Summer Tour with the launch of SummerTour2014.com.

The 10-city tour, kicking off May 23 in Norfolk, Va., welcomes all veterans, military families and patriotic Americans. Each event features a performance by Madison Rising, local barbeque, and a lineup of veterans bringing a message of service and freedom; as well as ways for fellow veterans—and all Americans—to continue fighting for freedom and the American Dream.

The tour includes stops in Virginia, Ohio, New Mexico, Nevada, North Carolina and Florida. Click here for the list of cities on the tour.

Speakers include:

  • Captain Sean Parnell, U.S. Army Ranger and author of New York Times bestseller “Outlaw Platoon
  • Karen Vaughn, Founder of For Our Son, Gold Star Mother
  • Sgt. Dakota Meyer, USMC Medal of Honor recipient (OH and NC stops)
  • Pete Hegseth, CEO of Concerned Veterans for America and Fox News contributor

“Concerned Veterans for America was founded to provide a way for veterans—and their families—to continue serving their country and fighting for freedom after their military service ended,” said Pete Hegseth, CEO of Concerned Veterans for America. “CVA provides a platform for vets to fight for freedom here at home, and the Defend Freedom Summer Tour brings that opportunity on the road and straight to the people. The tour will feature great music, great food, great speakers and ways to get involved in preserving freedom in your local community. Our message is clear: take action to defend freedom!”
