
Thurman Ragsdale
Thurman Ragsdale is the grassroots engagement director with Concerned Veterans for America in Texas and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
Thurman enlisted at the age of 19, where he served as a machine gunner in Guantanamo Bay before deploying to Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. After completing his military service, Thurman transitioned to the private sector, spending nine years in the restaurant industry, rising to the role of head chef and restaurant manager. His career path then led him to the car sales industry, where he dedicated 23 years, progressing into management roles. Seeking a greater balance between work and family, Thurman made the decision to leave the car industry and join CVA to lean into his passion for serving his country and making a meaningful impact in the lives of veterans and all Americans.
