Veterans lead the charge for a freer America

Concerned Veterans for America recently brought more than two dozen staff, veterans, and volunteers to Capitol Hill, delivering a clear message to lawmakers: Americans need solutions that work ― for everyone.

“This year’s Vets on the Hill was one of the most impactful and memorable yet, reflecting the critical inflection point our nation faces,” said David Huston, CVA’s deputy director of grassroots.

From expanding health care choice to protecting tax cuts that fuel job growth to fighting for a sensible and realistic foreign policy, CVA is ensuring that lawmakers hear what the American people truly need.

Veterans for all Americans: Policy that puts people first

While in Washington, CVA Executive Director John Vick joined U.S. Sen. Tim Sheehy for an in-depth conversation on how Congress can deliver lasting results for veterans ― and for all Americans.

CVA’s message was clear: Better policy strengthens the entire nation.

And as Sen. Sheehy emphasized during the conversation:

“Putting veterans first means they have access to the best care, people, and facilities available ― they’ve earned nothing less.”

Over three days, CVA leaders held over 120 meetings ― including 27 with members of Congress ― and made over 400 drop-ins with branded materials to drive their message home.

The result?

Eight new cosponsors (and counting) for the Veterans’ ACCESS Act and strong feedback from offices about the power and impact of CVA’s engagement.

The focus was clear:

  • Fix the broken VA system by championing the Veterans’ ACCESS Act
  • Deliver tax reform by passing the One Big Beautiful Bill Act and protecting the American economy
  • Promote a prudent foreign policy with Congress involved in deciding questions of war and peace

You’ll see Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks speaking with CVA’s team about veterans’ dedication and their role in driving solutions to America’s toughest challenges.

And below, is a picture of CVA discussing the veteran perspective on CVA’s policy priorities with Rep. Kat Cammack.

These veterans are stepping forward once again ― not just for themselves, but for every American who depends on a strong, secure, and free nation.

Nationwide impact powered by veteran leadership

CVA’s work in Washington is one part of a broader, veteran-led movement. Through digital efforts like Virtual VOTH ― with over 11,000 letters sent to Congress ― plus grassroots action and events in dozens of states, CVA is proving that veterans’ voices are a force for all Americans.

Whether it’s protecting small businesses, fixing health care, or defending economic freedom, CVA is committed to solutions that lift every community.

Because when veterans fight for policy change, they fight for all Americans.
