Rep. Lamborn has introduced the Veterans Empowerment Act (H.R. 4457). The legislation would offer all veterans who use the VA the ability to choose to access care from private community providers through a VA-sponsored insurance program that is similar to what VA employees use. The legislation would preserve the VA’s provider network while empowering it to better adapt to the changing needs of the veteran population.
CVA Executive Director Dan Caldwell released this statement:
“We’re looking forward to hearing from Congressman Lamborn about his proposals to reform the VA. Rep. Lamborn is leading the way to transform the way the VA helps veterans access health care. Our veterans fought to keep us safe, and they deserve the best care available when they come home. We appreciate Rep. Lamborn’s commitment to the same goal, and we’re looking forward to a robust conversation.”
